What RESIMUN is
Giving a VoiceTo the Nations of the World
Delegates do not argue their own opinion. They argue a country's, in front of a floor that votes on it. Three days later there is a signed resolution, or there isn't.
Run entirely by students
Committee chairing, logistics, press and the budget are the responsibility of the Secretariat, made up of students from La Résidence and renewed each year.
Open to schools across Morocco and abroad
Delegations from across the country and from abroad sit together and debate
Inside the conference
Three DaysOn Behalf of a Nation
Each delegate represents a country: they defend its interests, seek support, and listen to the positions that oppose it. The conference is an exercise in negotiation, where one learns that the world changes through words and compromise.
Every Country Has a Voice
Delegates come together to debate. Each speaks on behalf of their country, responds to the other delegations, and defends their position, until the debate ends in a shared decision, or in the absence of one.
From Idea to Resolution
Every resolution begins as an idea, which becomes a draft text, then is tested through amendments and debate before being put to a vote. In this way, delegates go through each stage of drafting a text, following the methods of international organizations.
Four Languages, One Assembly
French, Arabic, English and Spanish stand side by side in the debates. Delegates speak the language they know best, and hear other ways of putting the same disagreement, or the same hope.
A Press Team at Work
An event is something you live, but it is also something you write. Our journalists are on the ground to follow the sessions, gather the most striking speeches and the moments of tension,
